This was the Sunday evening ritual: email from Russ: "Dude, I know this is ridiculous, but can you come up with something that sounds like (insert band name here)? I’ll need it by tomorrow.” I would obligingly hit the Interwebs for a reference mp3, and come back with something “just close enough to keep us from getting sued.” This is how it came to pass that I have “tributes” to Bon Jovi, The Beatles, Devo, Enya, Blue Oyster Cult, The Bee Gees, and Bily Vera.
